How to Draw a Watch
Draw a watch in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round case.
Step 1: The round case
In the middle of your paper, draw one big round circle about as wide as your hand.
Tip Go round twice lightly, then pick the best line.
Step 2: The lug shoulders
Draw a low flat bump on top of the circle, from 11 to 1. Do the same underneath.
Step 3: The long strap
From each corner of the top bump, draw a long line up, stopping near the top. Join with a rainbow.
Step 4: The short strap
From each corner of the bottom bump, draw a line down. Stop a bit shorter than the long strap.
Step 5: Buckle and keeper
At the strap end, draw a buckle with a box and pin inside. Add a thin band across the strap.
Tip The pin pokes through the strap holes when the watch is done up.
Step 6: Three holes
On the long strap, draw 3 little round dots down the middle, the same space apart.
Step 7: The crown
On the right, draw a fat D from the case out and back to the case. Add 2 ridge lines.
Step 8: The dial and shine
Inside the big circle, draw a smaller circle a finger in. Add 2 thin shine curves inside it, top left.
Step 9: Hour marks
Draw 2 short dashes at the top of the dial. Draw 1 dash at the bottom, left and right.
Step 10: The hands
From a middle dot, draw a short hand to 10, a long one to 2, a thin one to 8.
Tip Ten past ten looks like 2 happy raised arms.
Step 11: Gold metal, sky dial
Colour all the metal bits gold yellow, then colour the dial light sky blue.
Tip The gold bits are the case ring, shoulders, crown, strap band and buckle. Leave the buckle window white.
Step 12: Red straps, navy hands
Colour both straps red around the gold band, then colour the 2 hands dark navy. Go over your lines.

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a watch, drawn by you.
