How to Draw a Vineyard
Draw a vineyard in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two posts.
Step 1: Two posts
Near the left edge draw a tall post with a pointy top. Draw another the same near the right edge.
Step 2: Two wires
Start on the left post below its point. Draw a wire across to the right post. Add one lower down.
Step 3: The vine
Start on the left post by the top wire. Draw a wavy vine along it, stopping on the right post.
Tip The vine winds over and under the wire like a gentle snake.
Step 4: First bunch
On the left, under the vine, draw a bunch of grapes: 3 in a row, 2 below, 1 underneath.
Tip Hang it from the vine by a short stem.
Step 5: A middle bunch
Draw the same bunch in the middle: 3 grapes, 2 below, 1 at the bottom, hanging by a short stem.
Step 6: A right bunch
And the same bunch on the right, hanging from the vine by a short stem.
Step 7: Vine leaves
On the vine draw 2 leaves with 3 pointy tips, standing up, one in each gap between the bunches.
Step 8: Curly tendrils
Off the vine draw 2 little curly tendrils, like springs: one near each post.
Step 9: Ground and grass
Draw a ground line under the posts, nearly edge to edge. Add 3 grass blades in the middle.
Step 10: Purple grapes
Colour all 3 bunches of grapes purple.
Step 11: Green vine and leaves
Colour the vine, the grape stems and both leaves green.
Step 12: Wood posts
Colour both posts wood brown. Go over your lines and your vineyard is done!
