How to Draw Uluru
Draw Uluru in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ground.
Step 1: The ground
Below the middle, draw a long flat ground line right across the paper, nearly edge to edge.
Step 2: Big rock
Start on the ground at left. Draw a long flat-topped rock with steep round ends to the ground at right.
Tip Make it about 4 times as long as it is tall, nearly across the whole paper.
Step 3: Grooves
Draw 2 curved grooves down each end and 2 in the middle. Start under the top, stop above the ground.
Step 4: The sun
In a top corner draw a round sun as big as a plum, with 8 short rays all round it.
Tip Each ray starts a little way out from the sun.
Step 5: A cloud
Top left, draw a small puffy cloud with 3 round bumps on top and a flat bottom.
Step 6: Grass tufts
Below each end of the rock, under the ground line, draw a tuft of 3 grass blades, middle one tallest.
Step 7: 2 pebbles
Below the ground line, in front of the rock, draw 2 small flat oval pebbles, far apart.
Step 8: Yellow sun
Colour the sun yellow.
Step 9: Sandy desert
Colour the ground below the line sandy tan, around the pebbles, to the edges. Colour the pebbles stone grey.
Step 10: Orange rock
Colour the big rock warm ginger orange. Go over your lines and your Uluru is done!
