How to Draw a Turtleneck
Draw a turtleneck in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
In the middle draw the sweater's body: a tall box with round top corners, a little wider at the bottom.
Tip A turtleneck has a tall collar that folds over and hugs your neck.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the body draw 2 round eyes. Colour a black dot in each, with a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, with a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Tall neck
On top of the body draw a tall box for the neck, with a wider flat box over its top.
Step 5: Sleeves
From each round shoulder slope a long sleeve down to a flat cuff, then back up to the armpit.
Step 6: Hem band
Under the body draw a flat band on the ground for the hem.
Step 7: Neck ribbing
Draw 4 lines straight down the fold and 4 down the neck, lined up and evenly spaced, for ribbing.
Step 8: Hem ribbing
Draw 6 short lines straight down the hem band too, evenly spaced.
Step 9: Ground
Draw a ground line under the hem from left to right.
Step 10: Twinkles
Draw a little 4-point twinkle in the air at each side of the neck.
Step 11: Cream neck and hem
Go over your lines, then colour the neck, fold and hem band cream.
Step 12: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 13: Ginger sweater
Colour the body and sleeves ginger, around the face and pink cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Snug!
