How to Draw a Car Carrier
Draw a car carrier in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: nose, cab and frame.
Step 1: Nose, cab and frame
Start low on the left. Go up round a stubby nose, over a tall cab, then flat back. Stop low.
Tip The hood is short. The frame is a thin flat shelf.
Step 2: Belly and tyres
Start where you stopped. Draw an arch, a flat belly, and another arch, ending at the nose. Add 2 tyres.
Tip Leave a little air between each arch and its tyre.
Step 3: Eye, smile, bumper
On the hood, draw a big round headlight eye with a pupil. Add a U smile, a cheek and bumper.
Step 4: Deck and ramp
Behind the cab, draw a long thin plank deck going back almost to the edge. Add a tall bar.
Step 5: Window and pillar
Inside the cab draw a big window shape. Add a pillar line from top down to bottom and a shine.
Step 6: Trailer tyre
Under the back of the deck, draw a low flat mudguard. Under it, draw a third fat tyre.
Step 7: Two little cars
On the deck draw 2 little cars. Each is a hump with a window and 2 round black wheels.
Tip The wheels sit right on the deck.
Step 8: Stack, handle, road
Add a chimney behind the cab and a door handle. Rule a road from the bumper, ending at the ramp.
Step 9: Red cab
Go over your lines. Colour the cab and frame red, and the cheek pink. Leave the windows and headlight white.
Step 10: Black tyres
Colour all 3 tyres black. Colour the hubs grey with a black dot in the middle.
Step 11: Grey deck and bits
Colour the deck, ramp and mudguard grey. Colour the bumper, handle and stack grey too.
Step 12: Sky windows, yellow light
Colour all 3 windows sky blue, leaving the shine white. Colour the headlight yellow, keeping the pupil black.
Step 13: Blue and yellow cars
Colour the front little car blue and the back one yellow, going around their windows and wheels.
