How to Draw a Surgeon
Draw a surgeon in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: Eyes and mask
Below the head's middle, draw 2 big oval eyes with dots. Draw a wide rounded mask just under them.
Step 3: Scrub cap
Start above the left eye. Draw the cap over the head, down to the right, and back across the forehead.
Step 4: Neck and scrubs
From the chin, draw 2 neck lines down to a top with short sleeves. Add a V-neck and a pocket.
Step 5: Bent arms
From each sleeve, draw the arm down to a round elbow at the waist, then up, level with the sleeve.
Tip Make each arm a little thinner at the wrist than at the elbow.
Step 6: Gloves held up
On top of each forearm, draw a glove pointing up, like the end of an egg, with a little thumb.
Step 7: Trousers, shoes and ground
Start at the hem's left end. Draw 2 trouser legs, stopping at the right. Add shoes and a ground line.
Step 8: Sky mask and gloves
Colour the mask and the gloves sky blue.
Step 9: Peach skin
Colour the face around the mask, the neck and arms peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Teal scrubs, black shoes
Colour the scrubs and the cap teal and the shoes black. Go over your lines and your surgeon is done.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a surgeon, drawn by you.
