How to Draw a Sloth Face

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a sloth face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big round head

Draw a big round head filling most of the paper, with 5 soft fur hills across the top.

Tip The fur hills are soft and round, not pointy.

  2. Step 2: Pale face

Inside the head, draw the face: a smaller round shape a finger in from the head line all round.

  3. Step 3: Dark eye patches

Above the face's middle, draw 2 teardrop patches, round blobs with tails sweeping out and down to the cheeks.

Tip The tails point out and down, like a mask.

  4. Step 4: Two big eyes

In the round end of each patch, draw a big round eye with a black dot and a tiny shine.

  5. Step 5: The nose

Between and under the eyes, draw a small rounded triangle nose, point down, and colour it black.

  6. Step 6: Big smile

Under the nose, draw 1 wide U smile from under the left patch to under the right patch.

Tip Sloths always look like they're smiling: make it a big wide U.

  7. Step 7: Rosy cheeks

Put a round pink cheek on each side of the smile, out near the edge of the face.

  8. Step 8: Cream face

Go over your lines. Colour the face cream around the pink cheeks, leaving the eye patches.

  9. Step 9: Tan fur

Colour the fur around the face tan.

  10. Step 10: Brown eye patches

Colour the 2 eye patches brown, around the eyes. Leave the eyes white.
