How to Draw a School Bus Front
Draw a school bus front in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall body.
Step 1: The tall body
Below the top, draw a tall box for the bus, a hand wide, with round top corners.
Tip We look the bus straight in the face: one big tall box.
Step 2: The big windscreen
In the top half of the box, draw a big wide window with round corners. Add a middle line.
Step 3: Headlight eyes, cheeks
Under the windscreen, draw 2 big round headlight eyes with black dots and shines. Add a small cheek below each.
Step 4: Grille smile
Between the headlights, draw a small flat box with 2 lines in it. Add a bold U smile under it.
Step 5: The roof sign
On top, draw a flat sign box. At each corner, draw a dome lamp from the roof back to it.
Step 6: The bumper
Under the body, draw a long flat bumper bar, a little wider than the body. Add a line above it.
Step 7: Two tyres
Under the bumper, near each corner, draw a big round tyre peeking out, so only its bottom half shows.
Step 8: Mirrors and the road
On each side, draw a tall egg mirror joined by a short line. Draw a road line under the tyres.
Step 9: Sky window, grey grille
Go over your lines. Colour the windscreen sky blue and the grille box grey.
Step 10: Yellow bus, pink cheeks
Colour the bus yellow, going around the eyes, cheeks, windscreen and grille. Colour the cheeks pink.
Tip Leave the headlight eyes white.
Step 11: Red lamps, black tyres
Colour the 2 roof lamps red, the bumper and mirrors grey, and the tyres black. Your school bus is done!
