How to Draw a Scepter
Draw a scepter in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the jewel.
Step 1: The jewel
High on your paper, a little right, draw one big round circle for the jewel, as big as a plum.
Tip The rod will lean down to the left from here.
Step 2: Happy face
In the jewel draw 2 round eyes side by side with black dots. Under them draw a small U smile.
Step 3: Crown cup
Over the bottom of the jewel draw a crown cup with 3 points, narrowing to a neck below.
Tip Keep the points below the smile, and rub out the jewel line inside the cup.
Step 4: The rod
From the narrow neck draw 2 long straight lines close together, leaning down to the left. Stop above the bottom.
Step 5: The knob
At the bottom of the rod draw a round knob, a circle that the 2 rod lines run into.
Step 6: Two bands
Across the rod draw 2 short bands, a third and two thirds of the way down, like thin slanted boxes.
Step 7: Ball and cross
On the very top of the jewel draw a small ball. Stand a little cross on the ball.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars around the scepter: one up left by the jewel, one right, one low right, one left.
Step 9: Golden rod and cup
Go over your lines, then colour the rod, crown cup, ball, cross and knob yellow like gold.
Step 10: Red jewel and bands
Colour the jewel red around the face and the gold points, leaving the eyes white. Colour the 2 bands red.
Step 11: Yellow sparkles
Colour the sparkles yellow. Your royal scepter is ready to rule!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a scepter, drawn by you.
