How to Draw an Envelope
Draw an envelope in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the envelope.
Step 1: The envelope
In the middle of your paper draw a wide box for the envelope, wider than it is tall.
Step 2: The flap
Start at the top-left corner. Slant down to a point below the middle, then up to the top-right corner.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Inside the flap draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end, still inside the flap.
Step 5: Bottom folds
From each bottom corner draw a slanted line up to the flap's point.
Step 6: Heart seal
On the flap's point draw a little heart seal: 2 bumps on top and a point below.
Step 7: A stamp
Near the top-right corner of the flap draw a small square stamp, a finger in from the edge.
Step 8: Little hearts
Draw 2 tiny hearts floating up by the top corners of the envelope.
Step 9: Ground and sparkle
Draw a ground line under the envelope from edge to edge, and a sparkle star above its middle.
Step 10: Cream envelope
Go over your lines, then colour the envelope cream around the heart, cheeks and stamp. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow sparkle, sky stamp
Colour the sparkle yellow and the stamp sky blue.
Step 12: Pink cheeks, red hearts
Colour the cheeks pink, and the heart seal and 2 little hearts red. Your envelope is ready to post!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: an envelope, drawn by you.
