How to Draw a Robot Dinosaur
Draw a robot dinosaur in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: box head.
Step 1: Box head
On the left draw a big box head with soft corners. Make the front half lower for a long snout.
Tip Leave room on the right for the body and tail.
Step 2: Big eye
In the tall back half draw a big round eye with a black dot and a shine. Dot a nostril.
Step 3: Toothy smile
Start at the front of the snout. Draw a long smile and stop under the eye. Hang 5 triangle teeth.
Step 4: Antenna
Start on top of the head and draw a short line straight up, stopping at a round ball.
Step 5: Neck and body
Behind the head draw a short neck with 2 lines. Then draw a tall box body with a sloping back.
Step 6: Box tail
From the low back draw 3 boxes for the tail, each one smaller and tipping up more.
Step 7: Back plates
Draw 3 triangle plates down the sloping back and 2 smaller ones on the tail.
Step 8: Front leg
Over the body's bottom draw a leg, wide at the top. Add a bolt, a block foot and 2 toes.
Step 9: Back leg
Behind the first leg, a little to the right, draw a second leg and foot peeking out.
Step 10: Tiny arm and ground
On the body's front draw a tiny arm ending in 2 claws. Add a ground line under the feet.
Step 11: Yellow plates, red ball
Go over your lines. Colour the 5 plates yellow and the antenna ball red.
Step 12: Green head and body
Colour the head, the neck and the body green. Leave the eye and teeth white.
Step 13: Green tail and legs
Colour the tail, both legs, the feet and the tiny arm green too.
