How to Draw a Rhombus

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a rhombus in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top half.

Print

  1. Step 1: Top half

Start halfway down on the left. Slant up to a top point, then down to stop level with the start.

Tip Make both lines the same length. It looks like a tent.

  2. Step 2: Bottom half

From each end of the tent, slant down and in. Stop where the 2 lines meet in a point.

Tip A rhombus has 4 sides that are all the same length.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

In the middle of the rhombus draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.

Tip Leave a tiny white dot in each black dot. That is the shine.

  4. Step 4: Big smile

Leave a gap under the eyes, then draw a wide U smile from under one eye to the other.

  5. Step 5: Rosy cheeks

Under the outside of each eye, clear of the smile, draw a small sideways oval for a cheek.

  6. Step 6: Four sparkles

Draw 2 sparkle stars on the left, one high and one low. Draw 2 more on the right.

  7. Step 7: Floor and shadow

Draw a flat oval shadow under the bottom point. From each end, draw a floor line out to the side.

  8. Step 8: Pink cheeks

Colour the 2 cheeks rosy pink.

  9. Step 9: Yellow sparkles

    Colour the 4 sparkles yellow.

  10. Step 10: Blue rhombus

Leave the eyes white. Colour the rhombus blue around the cheeks, and the shadow grey. Your rhombus is done!
