How to Draw Poutine
Draw poutine in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the dish.
Step 1: The dish
Below the middle draw a wide flat oval, about a hand across, for the top of a low dish.
Step 2: Its sides
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a low U underneath and stop at the right end.
Tip Low and wide, like a little boat.
Step 3: 4 fries
Draw 4 fries standing up in the dish and leaning different ways, each a little thinner at the top.
Tip Each fry starts inside the rim and leans a different way.
Step 4: 2 shorter fries
Beside them draw 2 shorter fries leaning out to the left and right, without crossing the others.
Step 5: The gravy
Over the fry bottoms draw a lumpy gravy mound from rim to rim, with 3 round drips over the front.
Step 6: Cheese curds
On the gravy draw 4 little lumpy blobs of cheese curd, spread about at different heights.
Step 7: A stripe
Under the rim draw a bowed line round the dish, from its left side to its right side.
Step 8: Steam
Above the fries draw 2 wiggly steam lines, each from low to high like a little S.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the dish from well left to well right, touching its bottom.
Step 10: Yellow fries, cream curds
Go over your lines. Colour the 6 fries yellow and the cheese curds cream.
Step 11: Red stripe, white dish
Colour the band under the rim red, around the drips. Leave the rest of the dish white.
Step 12: Brown gravy
Colour the gravy brown, around the cheese curds. Your poutine is done!
