How to Draw Pliers
Draw pliers in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the jaws.
Step 1: The jaws
In the top right, draw the jaws: a slim point up to the right, with a V at the bottom.
Step 2: The rivet
At the point of the V draw a small circle for the rivet that holds the pliers together.
Step 3: 2 round eyes
On the wide part of the jaws, above the rivet, draw 2 round eyes with black dots and shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end of it.
Step 5: First handle
From the jaws' top corner and the rivet, draw a long handle down to the left, with a round end.
Step 6: Second handle
From the jaws' right corner and the rivet, draw a second handle going down, so the lines make an X.
Step 7: Rubber grips
Over the bottom half of each handle draw a fatter sleeve with a round end, for the rubber grips.
Step 8: Jaw ridges
Draw 3 ridge lines across the pointed tip, then a middle line from the tip to the farthest ridge.
Step 9: 2 sparkles
Draw a small sparkle at the top left and another at the bottom right.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Grey metal
Colour the jaws, rivet and handles grey around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red grips
Colour the 2 rubber grips red, and your pliers are ready to grip!
