How to Draw a Pixel Heart
Draw a pixel heart in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top bumps.
Step 1: The top bumps
Start on the left. Step up to a bump, dip, up to another bump, and down. Stop on the right.
Tip Only up, down and across: no curves at all.
Step 2: The pointy bottom
Start low right. Step down and in to one square at the point, then up and out to the left.
Step 3: Two square eyes
Draw 2 big square eyes, one under each bump. Put a black square in each, leaving a white corner.
Step 4: A blocky smile
Under the eyes draw a blocky U smile out of steps: down, across, down, across the middle, up, across, up.
Step 5: Square cheeks
Beside the smile, under the outside of each eye, draw one small square cheek.
Step 6: A shine square
Inside the top-left bump of the heart, draw one small square for a shine.
Step 7: Floating squares
Around the heart, draw 4 little squares floating in the air, 2 on each side.
Step 8: Floor line
Just under the pointy bottom, draw a straight floor line from left of the heart to right of it.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, yellow squares
Go over your lines. Colour the two cheeks pink and the 4 floating squares yellow.
Step 10: Red heart
Colour the heart red, going around the cheeks. Leave the eyes and shine white. Your blocky heart is done!
