How to Draw a Pillow Fight

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a pillow fight in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two egg heads.

Print

  1. Step 1: Two egg heads

Draw 2 egg heads level with each other, one on each side. Leave a big gap between them.

Tip Keep them a third of the way down the page: the pillows go above.

  2. Step 2: Happy faces

Give each head 2 black oval eyes and a big smile. Both faces look in towards the middle.

Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.

  3. Step 3: Hair

Draw short hair on the left kid. Give the right kid a fringe and a ponytail at the back.

  4. Step 4: Pyjama tops

Under each head draw a pyjama top, a little wider at the bottom than at the shoulders.

  5. Step 5: Pyjama trousers

Under each top draw trousers with 2 legs standing apart. Each leg gets narrower at the ankle.

  6. Step 6: Bare feet

Draw 2 bare feet under each kid, flat on the floor, with the toes pointing out.

  7. Step 7: High pillow

From the left kid's shoulder draw an arm reaching up. Draw a big tilted pillow held in its hand.

Tip A pillow has 4 pointy corners and sides that curve in. Add 2 pinch lines by the hand.

  8. Step 8: Low pillow

From the right kid's shoulder draw an arm swinging low. Draw a pillow in its hand, tilted the other way.

  9. Step 9: Balancing arms

Draw each kid's other arm hanging down and out to the side. End each one in a mitten hand.

  10. Step 10: Feathers and floor

Draw 3 small feathers floating in the air. Add a long floor line under the feet.

  11. Step 11: Peach and yellow

Colour both faces, all 4 hands and all 4 feet peach. Colour the right kid's hair yellow.

  12. Step 12: Pink and blue

Colour the right kid's pyjamas pink and the left kid's blue. Leave the pillows and feathers white.

  13. Step 13: Brown hair

Go over your lines, then colour the left kid's hair brown. What a pillow fight!
