How to Draw a Snowman Skiing

Step 1: The head

Near the top, a little right of the middle, draw a big round head. Leave lots of room below.

Tip Snow is soft, so the circle does not have to be perfect.

Step 2: Bobble hat

Draw a curved band across the top of the head. Add a round hat above it and a pompom.

Step 3: Eyes and carrot

Under the hat draw 2 round coal eyes. Below them draw a long carrot nose pointing right.

Tip The carrot pokes out past the side of the head.

Step 4: Coal smile

Under the carrot draw 4 little coal dots in a curve, like a grin. Colour them in black.

Step 5: Tummy snowball

Start under the head on the left. Curve a wider snowball down and round, back up to the head.

Tip Make it a little wider than the head.

Step 6: Bottom snowball

Under the tummy draw the biggest snowball the same way. Add 2 coal buttons on the tummy.

Step 7: Flying scarf

Draw a scarf band across the neck. From its left end draw a wavy tail flying out behind.

Tip Add 2 short fringe lines at the end of the tail.

Step 8: Stick arms

From each side of the tummy draw a thin stick arm that bends at the elbow. Add a twig finger.

Tip Each stick is fattest at the snow and thinnest at the tip.

Step 9: Ski poles

Through each stick hand draw a long straight pole slanting out and down. Add a small ring near the bottom.

Step 10: Two skis

Under the bottom snowball draw a long thin ski with a curled tip. Draw a second one peeking behind.

Tip The skis are longer than the snowman is wide.

Step 11: Snowy slope

Start at the left edge. Draw one long line sloping down under the skis to the right edge.

Tip The pole tips rest on this line.

Step 12: Cheek and carrot

Colour a pink cheek beside the eye. Colour the carrot orange. Leave the snow white.

Step 13: Red scarf and hat

Colour the scarf and the hat red. Leave the hat band and the pompom white.

Step 14: Skis and arms

Colour the 2 skis blue and the stick arms brown. Your skiing snowman is ready!
