How to Draw a Pantheon
Draw a pantheon in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round wall.
Step 1: The round wall
Across the lower half of your paper draw a big wide box. This is the round wall.
Tip Leave room above it for the dome.
Step 2: Two flat rings
On top of the wall draw 2 thin flat boxes, each a little shorter than the one below.
Step 3: The low dome
On the top ring draw a low rainbow from one end to the other for the dome.
Tip Keep the dome low and wide, like an upside-down saucer.
Step 4: Step and beam
Inside the wall draw a long flat step on the ground and a long beam high above it.
Step 5: Eight columns
Between the beam and the step draw 8 tall thin columns, evenly spaced, 4 on each side.
Tip Draw the 2 end columns first, then fill in between.
Step 6: The pointed roof
On the beam draw a wide low triangle, a little wider than the beam.
Step 7: Wall bands
On each side, start at the edge of the wall and rule a line across to the beam.
Step 8: The ground
Start near the left edge and draw a flat ground line along the bottom, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: The sun
In the top right corner draw a round sun with 8 short rays around it.
Step 10: Yellow sun, cream porch
Colour the sun yellow. Colour the columns, the beam, the pointed roof and the step cream.
Step 11: Sand wall
Colour the round wall sand, on both sides of the porch and above its roof.
Step 12: Grey dome
Colour the dome and its 2 flat rings grey.
Step 13: Dark porch
Colour the gaps between the columns dark grey. Go over your lines and your Pantheon is done!
