How to Draw Overalls
Draw overalls in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bib.
Step 1: The bib
Start just below the middle, a little left. Draw a line up, a line across, a line down, and stop.
Step 2: Waist and sides
From each bib line draw the waist out, a long side down, and a hem in, stopping before the middle.
Step 3: The legs
From the left hem draw an upside-down V, stopping at the right hem. Add a cuff across each leg.
Step 4: Two big eyes
Under the waist draw 2 big circles, each with a black dot and a white shine. Leave the eyes white.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a big wide U smile with a little tongue. Add a flat cheek under each eye.
Step 6: Straps and buttons
From each top corner of the bib draw a thin strap slanting up. Add a button inside each corner.
Step 7: The bib pocket
In the middle of the bib draw a small pocket with round bottom corners and a stitch line.
Step 8: The hanger
From the left strap draw a tent up to a point and down to the right strap. Add a hook.
Step 9: The rail
Draw a long rail at hook height, from near the left edge across to near the right.
Step 10: Sky cuffs, yellow buttons
Colour the 2 cuffs light sky blue and the buttons yellow.
Step 11: Pink and denim blue
Colour the cheeks and tongue pink, then the overalls and straps denim blue, around the cuffs, buttons and eyes.
