How to Draw a Musk Ox
Draw a musk ox in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top left draw a big round head, wider than tall. Leave room on the right for the body.
Tip Leave room above it for a mop of hair.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big eyes in the middle. Under them add a big egg nose, 2 nostrils and a smile.
Step 3: Horns and hair
Draw a horn each side of the head, curving down then hooking up. Add a mop of hair on top.
Step 4: The neck
Start behind the right horn. Draw a short neck line out to the right, stopping where the hump starts.
Step 5: The body
Start at the neck. Go over a big hump, round the bottom, then soft hair bumps back to the chest.
Tip The shaggy skirt hangs low, so only the bottom of the legs show.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a ground line. From the skirt draw 2 legs, front and back, down to hooves on it.
Tip A hoof is flat on the ground, with a short split up the middle.
Step 7: The far legs
Beside each leg draw a thinner far leg peeking out, down to a hoof on the ground.
Step 8: The tail
From the top of the bottom, draw a short tail curving down and out, with a soft round end.
Step 9: Grey horns, light hair
Colour the horns light grey, and the mop of hair and the nose light brown. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Brown body, dark hooves
Colour the head, body, legs and tail brown, around the hair and nose. Colour the hooves dark grey.
