How to Draw a Musk Ox Calf
Draw a musk ox calf in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Top left: draw a big round head, a bit wider than tall. Leave room on the right for the body.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big oval eyes, each with a shine. Add an egg snout below with 2 nostrils and a smile.
Step 3: The horns
Draw 2 stubby horns like fat thumbs, then a big fluffy mop of hair over the top of the head.
Tip Horns grow from the top corners of the head, not the sides.
Step 4: The neck
Draw the neck from behind the head, sloping down. Then draw the front from the chin down to the chest.
Step 5: The body
Draw a hump on the shoulders, a back sloping to a round bottom, and a skirt of soft hair bumps.
Tip The shaggy skirt hangs low, so only the bottom of the legs show.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a low ground line. Add a front leg and a back leg, each ending in a hoof.
Tip A hoof is like a little doorstop, flat on the ground.
Step 7: The far legs
Draw 2 thinner far legs peeking out: 1 behind the front leg and 1 in front of the back leg.
Step 8: The tail
Start at the top corner of the bottom. Draw a thin tail hanging down, ending in a little leaf-shaped tuft.
Step 9: Grey horns, wood hair
Colour the horns stone grey, and the mop of hair and the snout wood. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Brown calf, grey hooves
Colour the head, body, legs and tail brown around the snout and hair, and the hooves slate grey.
