How to Draw a Music Note
Draw a music note in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the note head.
Step 1: The note head
Below the middle of your paper, a little left, draw a fat oval tilted so its left side is lower.
Tip A tilted egg lying down.
Step 2: The stem
From the right side of the note head draw a tall stem up: 2 close lines, stopping near the top.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the note head, above the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Draw a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The flag
From the top of the stem draw a flag curving out right like a wave, back to the stem lower.
Step 6: Two little notes
Draw a little music note on the left and one low on the right: a dot, a stem, a flag.
Step 7: The shine
Start near the left edge of the note head. Draw a short shine curve up, following the edge.
Step 8: The ground
Start on the left. Draw a long ground line touching the bottom of the note head. Stop on the right.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars round the note.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Blue note
Colour the note head, stem and flag blue, going around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Purple little notes
Colour the 2 little notes purple. Go over your lines, and your music note is singing!
