How to Draw a Baby Alligator
Draw a baby alligator in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
In the middle draw a long low snout pointing left, with a round dome behind. Add a nostril dot.
Step 2: The lower jaw
Start under the head's back. Draw a thin lower jaw forward under the snout, stopping behind the nose.
Step 3: Pointy teeth
Start at the mouth corner. Draw 6 little triangle teeth hanging from the mouth line. Stop behind the nose.
Step 4: Two pop-up eyes
On the dome draw a big circle poking up, and a smaller one behind it. Add black dots and shines.
Step 5: Round body
From behind the top eye draw a big round back. Stop below the jaw. Add the chest under the head.
Tip The body is fat and round like a bean.
Step 6: The broken egg
Under the baby draw half an egg: a zigzag rim across behind the baby, and a big round bottom.
Step 7: A little arm
From the chest draw a little bent arm over the rim, ending in a round paw with 3 toes.
Step 8: Back bumps and cracks
Along the back draw 4 little bumps like scales. Add a zigzag crack down from the rim on each side.
Step 9: The ground
Draw one long straight ground line under the egg, from one side of the paper to the other.
Step 10: Leaf green, cream jaw
Colour the head, neck, back and arm leaf green, and the lower jaw cream. Leave the eyes and teeth white.
Step 11: White egg
Colour the egg white and go over the teeth in white. Your baby alligator is done!
