How to Draw a Monkey with Baby
Draw a monkey with baby in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: mum's head.
Step 1: Mum's head
Near the top of your paper draw a big round head, wider than tall, with full cheeks.
Tip Leave room below for the baby and the body.
Step 2: Ears and tuft
Draw a big round ear on each side, with an oval inside. Add 3 hair bumps on top.
Step 3: Heart face, eyes
Inside the head draw a heart with 2 bumps on top. Add a big eye and black dot in each.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each black dot.
Step 4: Nose and smile
Under the eyes colour 2 nostril dots. Draw a wide smile below them, from left to right.
Step 5: Baby's head
Just under mum's chin draw a smaller round head. Give it 2 small round ears.
Tip The baby's head is about half as wide as mum's.
Step 6: Baby's face
Draw a small heart face inside. Add 2 black dot eyes with shines and a little smile.
Step 7: Baby's body
Under the baby's head draw a small egg body. Add 2 little oval feet at the bottom.
Step 8: Baby's hugging arms
From the baby's shoulders draw 2 arms reaching out wide. End each one in a small mitten hand.
Tip The baby is holding on tight to mum.
Step 9: Mum's hugging arms
Draw mum's 2 arms curving down and in. Put a mitten hand on each side of the baby.
Tip The baby's hands rest on mum's arms.
Step 10: Mum's body
Join each cheek to an arm with a short line. Draw a wide U under the elbows for mum's body.
Tip The body line hides behind the arms and the baby.
Step 11: Legs and feet
Low on each side draw a short leg sticking out. End each leg in a big oval foot.
Step 12: Tail and ground
From behind the right leg draw a tail curling up and over. Add a long ground line.
Tip The tail is thick at the body and thin at the tip.
Step 13: Tan faces
Colour both heart faces, the ear ovals, all 4 hands and mum's 2 feet tan. Leave mum's eyes white.
Step 14: Brown fur
Colour the baby light brown. Then colour mum dark brown, around the baby and the tan parts.
Tip Go over your lines to finish.
