How to Draw a Map Pin
Draw a map pin in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pin.
Step 1: The pin
In the middle of your paper draw a big upside-down raindrop, as tall as your hand, point at the bottom.
Step 2: The hole
In the top of the round part draw a small round ring for the hole.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Well under the ring draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat cheek beside and a little below each eye.
Step 5: A shine
High on the left shoulder of the pin draw a thin bendy sausage that follows the edge, for a shine.
Step 6: The map
Draw a wide slanted box for the map, with the point standing in its middle. Add 2 top-to-bottom fold lines.
Step 7: A road
Draw a wavy road across the map, from the left edge to the right edge, going behind the pin.
Step 8: Map dots
Draw 2 little dots on the map, far apart, 1 low on the left and 1 high on the right.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star up on each side of the pin.
Step 10: Yellow dots
Go over your lines, then colour the map dots and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Green map, pink cheeks
Colour the map green around the yellow dots, and colour the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Red pin
Colour the pin red around the cheeks, leaving the hole, eyes and shine white. Now it marks the spot!
