How to Draw a Longan
Draw a longan in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a twig.
Step 1: A twig
Near the top of your paper draw a long thin wobbly twig from left to right.
Tip Longans hang in bunches. Under the thin shell the fruit is white, with a dark seed inside.
Step 2: The main stem
From the middle of the twig draw a short stem hanging down. Make it thinner at the bottom.
Step 3: Three stalks
From the bottom of the stem draw 3 thin stalks fanning out. The right one is the longest.
Step 4: Three round fruits
On the end of each stalk draw a round fruit, about a thumb across. The left one is in front.
Step 5: Two more fruits
Under the fruits draw 2 more round fruits, each tucked behind the fruits above it.
Step 6: A peeled one
At the bottom, in front, draw one more round fruit. Give it a wavy cup of peel round its bottom.
Step 7: The seed
In the white top of the peeled fruit draw a small round seed.
Step 8: Leaves
At each end of the twig draw a pointed leaf with a line down its middle.
Step 9: Tan fruits, white flesh
Go over your lines, then colour the fruits and the peel tan. Leave the peeled fruit white.
Step 10: Brown twig and stalks
Colour the twig, the stem, all the stalks and the seed brown.
Step 11: Leaf green leaves
Colour the leaves leaf green.
