How to Draw a Lamb Jumping
Draw a lamb jumping in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: soft head.
Step 1: Soft head
High on the left draw a soft head like an egg, wide at the top, narrower at the chin.
Tip Keep it high up: the lamb is jumping.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 eyes with black dots and a small nose. From the nose draw a line down to a smile.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 3: Woolly cap
On top of the head draw a fluffy cloud of wool, wider than it is tall.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the wool.
Step 4: Ears out sideways
Under the wool draw a leaf ear sticking out on each side. Add a small leaf inside each ear.
Step 5: Woolly body
Start at the ear. Draw a big cloud of wool, bumpy all the way round, back to the chin.
Tip Make the cloud longer than it is tall.
Step 6: Front legs
From under the wool draw 2 thin legs reaching forward. Each has a bent knee and a small hoof.
Tip Draw a short line across each leg for the hoof.
Step 7: Back legs
From under the wool draw 2 thin back legs kicking out behind. Each has a bend and a small hoof.
Tip No hoof touches the ground.
Step 8: Short tail
At the top of the rump draw a short woolly tail sticking up.
Step 9: Ground and grass
Far below the lamb draw a ground line. Start on it and draw a tuft of 3 pointed grass blades.
Step 10: Spring flower
Draw a flower: 6 petals round a middle. From it draw a stem down to the ground. Add a leaf.
Step 11: Pink and yellow
Colour the nose, the insides of the ears and the petals pink. Colour the flower middle yellow.
Step 12: Green grass
Colour the grass and the leaf green.
Step 13: Dark hooves
Colour the 4 small hooves dark grey. Leave the lamb white, or colour it white.
