How to Draw a Labrador
Draw a Labrador in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big oval head.
Step 1: Big oval head
Near the top of your paper draw a big oval, a little wider than tall.
Tip Make it big: almost half of the drawing. Leave room below.
Step 2: Soft flop ears
Start high on the head's left. Draw a soft triangle ear out and down, back to the cheek. Same right.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Just above the middle of the head draw 2 egg eyes a gap apart, with a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Snout and nose
Under the eyes draw a wide oval snout. Sit a rounded triangle nose on top and colour it black.
Step 5: Smile and tongue
From the nose draw a short line down, then a w smile out to each side. Add a U tongue.
Step 6: The body
Start under each ear. Draw a big C down to near the bottom. Join the ends with a sagging line.
Tip The body is a bit wider than the head.
Step 7: Collar and tag
Under the chin draw 2 sagging curves from the left side across to the right. Hang a round tag below.
Step 8: Front legs
From the collar, draw 2 legs down to round paws, with a gap between them. Add toe lines.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the legs.
Step 9: Back paws and tail
Draw a hill paw at each bottom corner. From behind the right paw, draw a thick tail curling up.
Step 10: The ground
Start at the left. Draw a long line under all 4 paws across to the right.
Step 11: Cream snout and chest
Colour the snout and the chest between the legs cream.
Step 12: Yellow fur
Colour all the fur sand, around the cream parts, tongue and collar. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Pink tongue, blue collar
Colour the tongue pink and the collar blue.
