How to Draw a Kazoo
Draw a kazoo in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: kazoo body.
Step 1: Kazoo body
On the left, draw a tall oval. From it, draw a long tube sloping down to a small round end.
Tip Wide where you hum into it, narrow at the far end.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the body, draw 2 big egg eyes, not touching, with a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Little chimney
On top, near the wide end, draw a short rounded box like a chimney, with a tiny oval on top.
Step 5: Bands and hole
Draw a thin oval hole inside the tall oval. Draw a line down across the body near each end.
Step 6: Music notes
Draw 3 music notes in the air above the kazoo.
Step 7: Buzz lines
Draw 3 short buzz lines fanning out from the small end.
Step 8: Table and shadow
Draw a long table line under the kazoo. Add a long thin shadow oval on the line.
Step 9: Yellow end, pink cheeks
Colour the chimney and the wide end yellow, going around the hole. Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Orange tip
Colour the small end right of the second band orange.
Step 11: Red kazoo
Go over your lines. Colour the body red, going around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Grey shadow, black notes
Colour the shadow grey, and the hole and the note heads black. Hum into your kazoo!
