How to Draw a Jellyfish
Draw a jellyfish in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bell.
Step 1: The bell
Start on the left. Draw a big round dome up and over, then 6 soft bumps back to the start.
Tip The frill is the bottom: no flat line underneath.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the lower half of the bell draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye. Draw a big U smile and stop under the right eye. Add 2 cheeks.
Step 4: Spots and a shine
High on the bell draw 3 round spots: big, tiny, middle. Add a short curved shine line top left.
Step 5: Two ribbon arms
Under the second frill bump from each side draw a thick wavy ribbon arm hanging down to a round tip.
Step 6: Outside tentacles
From the frill dip at each corner draw a thin wavy line drifting down and out, ending in a hook.
Step 7: Middle tentacles
From the dip under each eye draw a thin wavy line hanging down between the arms, ending in a hook.
Step 8: Bubbles
Beside the top right of the bell draw 3 round bubbles floating up: small, middle, big.
Step 9: Peach cheeks, blue bubbles
Colour the 2 cheeks peach and the 3 bubbles light blue.
Step 10: Colour the bell pink
Colour the bell pink, frill and all, around the cheeks and spots. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Purple arms and spots
Colour the 2 ribbon arms and the 3 spots purple.
