How to Draw an Italy Flag
Draw an italy flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top. Add a ball.
Step 2: The waving flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a wavy top edge, a straight right side, a wavy bottom edge.
Tip This flag is a little wider than it is tall: 3 across for every 2 up.
Step 3: First band line
Start on the top edge, a third of the way along. Draw straight down. Stop at the bottom edge.
Step 4: Second band line
Start on the top edge, two thirds of the way along. Draw another line down. Stop at the bottom edge.
Tip Make the 3 bands the same width.
Step 5: Ground line
Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from the left side to the right side.
Step 6: Wind lines
Off the right edge of the flag draw 3 short wind lines.
Step 7: Yellow ball
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow.
Step 8: Grey pole
Colour the pole grey.
Step 9: Red outer band
Colour the band furthest from the pole red. Leave the middle band white.
Step 10: Green pole band
Colour the band next to the pole green. Go over your lines. Your Italy flag is waving!
Tip Green always goes next to the pole, then white, then red.
