How to Draw a Honey Dipper

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a honey dipper in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the handle.

Print

  1. Step 1: The handle

Draw a long thin handle standing up in the middle of your paper, from near the top to the middle.

  2. Step 2: The knob

On top of the handle draw a small round knob.

  3. Step 3: The head

At the bottom of the handle draw a fat round head hanging down, like a bell.

  4. Step 4: The grooves

Across the head draw four gently curved lines from side to side, evenly spaced, for the grooves.

  5. Step 5: Table line

Start near the left edge. Draw a straight table line well under the head and stop near the right edge.

  6. Step 6: The honey pool

On the table under the head draw a long flat puddle of honey with a little bump in the middle.

  7. Step 7: The honey stream

From the bottom of the head draw a thin stream into the bump. Rub out the line across it.

  8. Step 8: Shine

Draw a short dash on the pool for the shine.

  9. Step 9: Sparkles

Draw a few little four-point sparkles around it to make it shine.

  10. Step 10: Yellow honey

Go over your lines, then colour the pool, the stream and the sparkles yellow.

  11. Step 11: Wood dipper

Colour the handle, the knob and the head wood brown.
