How to Draw a Heptagram
Draw a heptagram in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a light circle.
Step 1: A light circle
Lightly draw a big circle that fills most of your paper. It is only a guide.
Tip Draw round a plate if you have one.
Step 2: Top and bottom marks
Make a small mark at the very top of the circle and 2 marks at the bottom, a little apart.
Tip The gap between the 2 bottom marks is the same as every other gap.
Step 3: Side marks
On each side make 2 more marks, so all 7 gaps round the circle are the same.
Step 4: A tall point
Start at the top mark. Draw a straight line down to each bottom mark and stop there.
Tip A ruler helps. Every line in this star is straight.
Step 5: Crossing lines
Start at each bottom mark. Draw a straight line up and stop at the top side mark opposite.
Step 6: Wide lines
Start at each top side mark. Draw a straight line across and stop at the lower mark opposite.
Step 7: The last line
Start at one lower side mark. Draw a straight line across and stop at the other. Count 7 points!
Tip Each mark has 2 lines. A heptagram is 7 lines that cross.
Step 8: Yellow middle
Rub out the circle and go over your lines. Colour the middle shape yellow.
Step 9: Pink triangles
Colour the 7 small triangles around the middle pink.
Step 10: Purple points
Colour the 7 long points purple. Your heptagram is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a heptagram, drawn by you.
