How to Draw an Eye of Horus
Draw an eye of horus in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the long eye.
Step 1: The long eye
Across the middle draw a long eye: a tall curve over the top, a flatter curve below, pointed corners.
Tip Make it long, like a lemon lying on its side. Keep it a little left of the middle.
Step 2: The eyebrow
Above the eye draw a long thick eyebrow, curved like the top of the eye, with round ends.
Tip The eyebrow is longer than the eye. It reaches past the outer corner.
Step 3: The round iris
Inside the eye draw a big circle, nearly touching the top and the bottom.
Step 4: The black pupil
In the middle of the circle draw a smaller circle. Colour it black, leaving a tiny white shine.
Step 5: The tail
From the right corner of the eye draw a thick tail out to the right, with a round end.
Tip The tail ends under the end of the eyebrow.
Step 6: The drop
Under the eye, below the left side of the circle, draw a thick drop straight down, like a thin U.
Step 7: The long curl
Right of the drop, draw 2 lines from the eye sweeping down and right. Curl them round into a swirl.
Tip Keep the 2 lines side by side, getting a little closer as they curl in.
Step 8: Gold drop and curl
Go over your lines. Colour the drop and the long curl yellow, like gold.
Step 9: Blue iris
Colour the ring round the pupil blue. Leave the rest of the eye white.
Step 10: Navy eyebrow and tail
Colour the eyebrow and the tail navy blue, and your Eye of Horus is done!
