How to Draw a Halloween Banner
Draw a Halloween banner in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the string.
Step 1: The string
Across the middle of your paper, draw a long smile curve for the string, with a nail at each end.
Tip The string hangs loosely, so it dips lowest in the middle.
Step 2: The middle flag
In the middle of the string, draw a triangle flag hanging down, with its top on the string.
Tip Make the top about 3 fingers wide.
Step 3: Two more flags
Draw the same triangle flag on each side of the middle one, a finger apart, their tops on the string.
Step 4: The outer flags
Draw one more flag near each end of the string, so there are 5 flags in a row.
Step 5: Stars on the flags
On the first, middle and last flags, draw a little 5-point star near the top.
Step 6: Moons on the flags
On the other 2 flags, draw a little crescent moon near the top, like a C opening towards the middle.
Step 7: Two bats
Above the string, draw 2 bats: a round body, 2 pointy ears, and wide pointy wings with 3 scoops underneath.
Step 8: Sparkles
Under the flags, draw 2 little sparkles floating in the air.
Step 9: Yellow stars and moons
Go over your lines, then colour the stars, the moons and the sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Orange flags
Colour the first, middle and last flags orange, going around the yellow stars.
Step 11: Purple flags and bats
Colour the other 2 flags purple around the moons, and the bats and nails dark grey. Your banner is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a Halloween banner, drawn by you.
