How to Draw a Hair Dryer
Draw a hair dryer in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round body.
Step 1: The round body
Right of the middle draw 1 big circle, as big as your fist, for the body of the hair dryer.
Tip Leave room on the left for the nozzle and below for the handle.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the circle, left of the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 4: The nozzle
Start on the circle's left near the top. Draw a narrowing nozzle out left, and stop back on the circle.
Step 5: The handle
Draw 2 lines down from the circle, leaning left, joined at the bottom. Rub out the circle between them.
Step 6: Button and vent
Draw a button near the top of the handle, and a vent on the body: a circle with a plus.
Step 7: Cord and plug
From low on the handle draw a cord out left with one loop. End it with a little plug.
Step 8: Warm air and sparkles
In front of the nozzle draw 3 short lines blowing out to the left, and 3 sparkles in the air.
Step 9: Table and shadow
Draw a thin flat shadow oval round the handle's foot. Add a table line each side, stopping at the shadow.
Step 10: Pink dryer
Go over your lines, then colour the dryer pink, going around the eyes, cheeks, vent, button and nozzle tip.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Slate vent, button, plug
Colour the vent, the button, the plug and the end of the nozzle slate grey.
Step 12: Red cheeks, grey shadow
Colour the cheeks red, pressing softly, and the shadow grey. Your hair dryer is ready to blow!
