How to Draw a Goose Flying
Draw a goose flying in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a small round head.
Step 1: A small round head
On the left, halfway down, draw a small round head, a little wider than tall.
Step 2: Flat bill
From the head draw a flat bill to a round tip and back. Add a mouth line from the tip.
Step 3: One big eye
Behind the bill, high on the head, draw a big round eye with a black dot and a white shine.
Step 4: Long forward neck
From the back of the head, draw 2 neck lines going right, a little apart. Stop a head away.
Step 5: Long slim body
From the top neck line's end, draw a long slim egg body round to the bottom neck line's end.
Step 6: Big raised wing
From the shoulder, draw a big wing up to a round tip, 3 feather bumps down, back to the start.
Tip Add 2 feather lines from the top notches to the front edge. Rub out the back line inside the wing.
Step 7: The far wing
From the back, draw the far wing peeking up to 2 feather bumps. Stop on the big wing.
Step 8: Short pointed tail
Start on top of the rump. Draw a short pointed tail out behind. Stop lower on the rump.
Step 9: Tucked webbed feet
Under the tummy's back, draw a short leg to a webbed foot with 3 bumps, the far foot peeking below.
Tip Add 2 short toe lines from the notches, pointing back to the ankle.
Step 10: A puffy cloud
Below the head on the left, draw a little cloud: 3 round puffs on top and a flat bottom.
Step 11: Stone grey goose
Colour the head, neck and body stone grey, but not the wings or tail. Leave the eye white.
Step 12: Grey wings and tail
Colour both wings and the little tail a darker grey. Leave the cloud white.
Step 13: Orange bill and feet
Colour the bill and both webbed feet orange. Your goose is flying!
