How to Draw a Dinosaur Dancing
Draw a dinosaur dancing in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bean head.
Step 1: Bean head
Near the top left, draw a big bean head lying down, with a round snout pointing left.
Tip Make the back of the head taller than the snout.
Step 2: Eye and smile
Draw a big oval eye with a black dot and a shine. Dot a nostril. Add a long smile.
Step 3: Leaning body
Under the back of the head, draw a pear body that leans to the right, fatter at the bottom.
Step 4: Tummy patch
Inside the body, on the left, draw a long egg for the tummy.
Step 5: Two dancing arms
From each side of the chest, draw an arm reaching out, bent at the elbow, with 2 little fingers.
Tip The right hand waves up high. Each arm gets thinner towards the hand.
Step 6: Standing leg
Under the body, draw a fat leg straight down to a long foot pointing left. Add 2 toe lines.
Step 7: Lifted leg
Draw the other leg kicking out to the left, bent down at the knee. Add 2 toe lines.
Tip Keep this foot up in the air. That makes your dinosaur dance.
Step 8: Swinging tail
From the bottom of the body, draw a fat tail swinging out to the right, up to a thin tip.
Step 9: Five plates
Draw 5 pointy plates: 2 on the back of the head and 3 along the top of the tail.
Tip Each plate starts and stops on the line.
Step 10: Ground and music
Draw a ground line under the standing foot. Add 2 music notes in the air.
Step 11: Cream tummy, yellow plates
Colour the tummy patch cream. Colour all 5 plates yellow.
Step 12: Colour it green
Colour the head, body, arms, legs and tail green, around the tummy patch. Leave the eye white.
