How to Draw a Ghost Cat

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a ghost cat in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top draw a big egg, a little wider near the bottom. It is almost half the ghost cat.

Tip Leave room underneath for the sheet and arms.

  2. Step 2: Pointy ears

On each top corner of the head draw a pointy ear leaning out, with a smaller triangle inside.

Tip The ears sit on the top corners of the egg, like a cat's.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Across the middle of the head draw 2 tall oval eyes, each with a big black pupil and a shine.

  4. Step 4: Nose and W smile

Under the eyes draw a small upside-down triangle nose. From its point hang a W smile under the eyes.

  5. Step 5: Whiskers

Start just outside each cheek, level with the nose. Draw 2 short whiskers pointing out, not touching the face.

  6. Step 6: The sheet

Start on the left cheek. Draw the sheet down, 5 round bumps along the bottom, up to the right cheek.

Tip Make the bumps round like a cloud, not pointy. Rub out the bottom of the head inside the sheet.

  7. Step 7: Two little arms

Start on the sheet under the left cheek. Draw a stubby arm out and back to the sheet. Do both.

Tip Each arm is a short round paddle, about as long as an eye. Rub out the sheet line inside it.

  8. Step 8: Floating lines

Under the hem draw 2 short curved lines, one under each side, to show the ghost floating.

  9. Step 9: Sparkles

Up beside each ear draw a little sparkle star with 4 points and sides that curve in.

  10. Step 10: Go over your lines

Go over your lines with a darker pen. Leave the sheet, the eyes and the outer ears white.

  11. Step 11: Yellow and pink

Colour the 2 sparkles yellow. Colour the nose, the ear insides and 2 cheeks pink. Your ghost cat is done!

    Tip Keep the eyes white.
