How to Draw a Gecko Face
Draw a gecko face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.
Step 1: Big head
Draw a big head, round on top, widest near the top and narrowing to a soft round snout.
Step 2: Big side eyes
On each upper side, draw a big round eye poking out of the head. Rub out the line inside.
Tip Gecko eyes sit on the sides of the head, not on top.
Step 3: Tall pupils
In each eye, draw a tall oval pupil with a tiny circle near its top for the shine.
Step 4: Wide smile
Start under the left eye. Draw a wide smile dipping down across the snout. Stop under the right eye.
Tip Geckos always look like they are smiling.
Step 5: Nostrils
Above the middle of the smile, draw 2 tiny black dots for the nostrils.
Step 6: Spots
Draw 3 little round spots in a curve across the top of the head, between the eyes.
Step 7: Yellow spots
Colour the 3 spots yellow.
Step 8: Rosy cheeks
Colour a small pink oval on each cheek, between the eye and the end of the smile.
Step 9: Colour the gecko green
Colour the head light green around the spots and cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 10: Black pupils
Colour the pupils black, leaving the little shines white.
