How to Draw a Game Controller
Draw a game controller in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the controller.
Step 1: The controller
Start at the top middle. Draw a bowed top, a fat grip each side and a curved bottom between them.
Tip Like a wide smile with 2 fat legs. Do both sides the same.
Step 2: A happy face
Draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Smile: start under the left eye, stop under the right.
Tip Leave a white shine in each eye.
Step 3: The cross pad
On the left side draw a fat plus sign as 1 closed shape, all the way round.
Step 4: Four buttons
On the right side draw 4 small circles in a diamond: top, left, right, bottom.
Step 5: Shoulder bumps
Above the cross pad, draw a flat bump from the top edge back down to it. Same above the buttons.
Step 6: Rosy cheeks
Draw a small oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 7: Peach cheeks
Colour both cheeks peach, right up to their lines.
Step 8: Grey pad and bumps
Colour the cross pad and the 2 shoulder bumps grey.
Step 9: Red and yellow buttons
Colour the top and bottom buttons red, and the left and right ones yellow.
Step 10: Navy body
Go over your lines. Colour the whole body navy, around the pad, buttons and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
