How to Draw a Fox Reading
Draw a fox reading in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wide head.
Step 1: Wide head
Near the top draw a wide dome head. Add a fur tuft on each cheek, then curve to the chin.
Tip Wide on top, narrow at the chin.
Step 2: Tall ears
On each top corner of the head draw a tall pointed ear leaning out. Add a smaller triangle inside.
Step 3: Big eyes
Halfway down the head draw 2 round eyes. Add black pupils with white shines.
Step 4: Round glasses
Draw a circle round each eye. Join the 2 circles with a tiny bridge over the nose.
Tip Keep the eyes in the middle of the glasses.
Step 5: Snout and nose
Under the glasses draw a short round snout past the chin. Add a black nose and a smile.
Step 6: Open book
Below the chin draw an open book: 2 pages that meet in a dip, with a cover peeking out underneath.
Tip Draw a line down the middle where the pages meet.
Step 7: Arms and paws
From under each cheek draw an arm out to a bent elbow, then in to a paw on the book.
Tip Each paw wraps over the edge of the book. Rub out the book line inside it.
Step 8: Ground and legs
Draw a ground line. From under each elbow draw a big C down to it.
Step 9: Paws and tummy
On the ground draw a bun paw each side with 2 toes. Draw a U tummy under the book.
Step 10: Bushy tail
Draw a fat tail up from the right leg and down to the ground. Add a curve across the tip.
Tip The tail leans in at the top, curling towards the fox.
Step 11: Story lines
Draw 2 short lines on each page for the words.
Step 12: White and blue
With white, colour the snout, tummy and tail tip. Colour the book cover blue. Leave the pages white.
Step 13: Orange fur, black tips
Colour the fur orange around the white parts and the book. Leave the eyes white. Colour the ear tips black.
