How to Draw a Florida Map
Draw a florida map in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top edge.
Step 1: The top edge
Start near the top left. Draw a straight line to the right. Stop a third of the way across.
Tip Florida is a state at the bottom right corner of the USA.
Step 2: A step down
Carry on from there. Take a small step down, then draw a long straight line right. Stop near the side.
Step 3: The east coast
Carry on from there. Step up a little, then draw the coast down and round the bottom. Stop there.
Tip This long finger of land has sea on 3 sides.
Step 4: The west coast
Start at the bottom. Draw the coast up and to the left, then cut in. Stop inside the little bay.
Step 5: The big bend
Start inside the bay. Go back out, then up, and curve round to the left. Stop in a dip.
Step 6: The panhandle
Carry on from the dip. Draw the coast down to a bump, then up and along to the left.
Tip Stop below the start of your first line.
Step 7: Close the map
Start where you stopped. Draw a short line up. Stop where your first line began.
Step 8: The big lake
Low down in the finger of land, near the right coast, draw a round lake.
Step 9: The little islands
Under the bottom tip, draw 4 small islands in a row curving to the left, each one smaller.
Step 10: The capital
Up in the thin top part, right of the middle, draw a small circle for the capital city, Tallahassee.
Step 11: Blue lake
Go over your lines. Colour the lake light blue.
Step 12: Green land
Colour all the land green, around the lake and the little circle. Colour the 4 islands green too.
Step 13: Red capital
Colour the little circle red for the capital. Your map of Florida is done!

Your finished drawing
