How to Draw a Rhino
Draw a rhino in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall. Leave room on the right.
Tip The head is about as big as the body is deep.
Step 2: Eyes and snout
Below the head's middle, draw 2 big oval eyes. Under them, add an egg snout with dots and a smile.
Step 3: Horn and ears
Draw a big curved horn on the snout. On each top corner, add a pointed ear with a leaf inside.
Step 4: The neck
Start behind the head and under the chin. Draw 2 neck lines down to the body.
Step 5: Bean body
From the bottom of the neck, draw a big soft bean body: a long back, a round bottom, a tummy.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a low ground line. Add a front leg under the chest and a back leg under the bottom.
Tip A hoof is a little doorstop with a line across its top.
Step 7: Far legs
Add 2 thinner far legs peeking out, one beside each near leg. All 4 hooves touch the ground.
Step 8: Tufty tail
From the top corner of the bottom, draw a thin tail hanging down. Add a leaf tuft at the end.
Step 9: Skin folds
Draw 2 soft curved lines across the body, one behind the shoulder and one in front of the back leg.
Step 10: Cream horn, peach ears
Colour the horn and the tail tuft cream, and the ear insides peach.
Step 11: Colour it grey
Colour the snout stone and the rhino grey around the cream and peach parts. Keep eyes and hooves white.
Step 12: Slate hooves
Go over your lines. Colour the hooves slate.
