How to Draw a Digestive System
Draw a digestive system in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and ears.
Step 1: Head and ears
Near the top draw a round head. Start and stop at the neck, leaving a gap. Add 2 ears.
Step 2: Neck and body
From each end of the head go down a neck, over a shoulder and down. Join with a flat bottom.
Step 3: Eyes
Draw 2 egg eyes high on the face. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a tiny white shine.
Step 4: Open mouth
Under the eyes draw a flat line. Hang a deep U from its ends for an open mouth.
Step 5: Large intestine
Low in the body draw a thick band like a square frame: up, across, down, in to the bottom middle.
Tip Leave room above it for the stomach.
Step 6: Folds
Draw 8 short lines across the band: 2 on each side, 3 along the top and 1 below.
Step 7: The stomach
Above the frame draw a fat bean. Curl its thin tail down to the left to touch the band.
Step 8: Food pipe
Draw a thin tube from the mouth down the neck. Bend it right to reach the top of the stomach.
Step 9: Small intestine
Inside the frame draw a block with round bumps down both sides. Join its left corners to the band.
Step 10: Coil lines
Draw 3 lines across the block. Start in the dips: left, right, then left. Stop before the far side.
Step 11: Peach skin
Go over your lines. Colour the skin peach around the mouth and all the tubes. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow and pink
Colour the small intestine yellow. Colour the food pipe and the large intestine pink.
Step 13: Orange and red
Colour the stomach orange and the inside of the mouth red. Your digestive system is done!
