How to Draw a Cloud
Draw a cloud in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: cloud top.
Step 1: Cloud top
Start on the left. Draw a rainbow of 5 big bumps over to the right, ending level with the start.
Tip Make it wide, wider than it is tall.
Step 2: Cloud bottom
Start where the bumps ended. Draw 3 shallow bumps hanging down, across to the left, until you meet the start.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Below the middle of the cloud, draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Add black dots and shines.
Step 4: Big smile
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 5: Three raindrops
Just under the cloud, draw 3 raindrops, point up, with a little gap. Make the middle one bigger and lower.
Step 6: Two little drops
Under the gaps between the big drops, draw 2 little raindrops falling lower down, point up.
Step 7: A puddle
Near the bottom of the paper, draw a long flat oval puddle, nearly as wide as the cloud.
Step 8: Ripples
Inside the puddle near each end, draw a short curved ripple line that follows the edge.
Step 9: White cloud, pink cheeks
Leave the cloud and the eyes white. Colour 2 rosy pink cheeks under the eyes.
Step 10: Blue rain and puddle
Colour the 5 raindrops and the puddle blue. Your cloud is done!
