How to Draw a Claw Machine
Draw a claw machine in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the base.
Step 1: The base
A little below the middle, draw a wide box with softly rounded corners, wider than tall, for the base.
Tip The base is the heavy bottom part where the prize comes out.
Step 2: The glass box
Stand a rounded box on the base, much taller than it. Add a flat cap and a floor line across.
Step 3: The prize
In the middle of the glass box, draw 1 big round ball with 2 round eyes and a smile.
Step 4: The claw
From the cap, draw a rod down to a circle. From the circle, add 2 curved fingers hugging the ball.
Step 5: Two more prizes
On the floor of the box, draw a smaller ball on each side, each with a line across the middle.
Step 6: Prize door and joystick
On the base, draw a door with a line across. On the left, add a joystick in a little dome.
Step 7: The floor
Draw a long line across under the machine, from the left of the paper to the right.
Step 8: Yellow and sky blue
Colour the cap, the left prize and the joystick yellow. Colour the glass sky blue, around the claw and prizes.
Step 9: Green and purple prizes
Colour the right prize green and the lifted prize purple.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Red base
Go over your lines. Colour the base red, around the joystick. Ready to play!
