How to Draw a Circuit Board
Draw a circuit board in 12 steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the board.
Step 1: The board
Across the middle of your paper draw a big wide rectangle. Add a hole dot in each corner.
Tip A circuit board is the flat green board inside gadgets.
Step 2: The big chip
In the middle of the board draw a big square for the chip.
Step 3: Two eyes
On the chip draw 2 round eyes, not touching. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Chip legs
Draw 4 short legs sticking up from the top of the chip and 4 sticking down from the bottom.
Step 6: Small parts
Draw a small chip with 3 legs top left, a circle top right, and a striped box bottom right.
Step 7: Traces
From the small chip, the circle and the box, draw 3 thin L-shaped lines to the big chip.
Step 8: Solder pads
Draw a little round dot on the corner of each trace.
Step 9: Yellow pads
Colour the 4 corner holes and the 3 round pads yellow.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Slate chips
Colour both chips, the circle and the striped box slate grey, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Green board
Go over your lines. Colour the board green, around all the parts and pads. Bleep!
