How to Draw a Checkmark

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a checkmark in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big tick.

Print

  1. Step 1: The big tick

Draw a fat bubble tick in the middle: a short arm down to a point, then a long arm up.

Tip A short arm down and a long arm up, like a bird's wing.

  2. Step 2: Two big eyes

In the corner of the tick, where the arms meet, draw 2 round eyes close together with dots and shines.

  3. Step 3: A smile

Under the eyes, draw a small U smile from under one eye to the other.

  4. Step 4: Burst lines

Around the top of the checkmark, draw 5 short lines pointing outward, like a little burst of happiness.

  5. Step 5: Sparkles on the left

On the left of the checkmark, draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.

  6. Step 6: Sparkles on the right

Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.

  7. Step 7: The floor

Draw a long floor line from left to right, touching the bottom point of the checkmark.

  8. Step 8: A shadow

Around the checkmark's point, draw a thin flat oval on the floor line for its shadow.

  9. Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow

Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.

  10. Step 10: Green checkmark

Colour the whole checkmark green, going around the face and leaving the eyes white. Your bubble checkmark is done!
