How to Draw a Bunny Running
Draw a bunny running in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: soft round head.
Step 1: Soft round head
On the left draw a big soft head. Make it narrow on top and fat at the cheeks.
Tip The bottom is 2 round cheeks with a tiny dip between them. Leave room on the right.
Step 2: Ears streaming back
From the top of the head draw 2 long spoon ears blowing back. Add a thin oval inside each.
Tip The ears lie back because the bunny is running fast.
Step 3: Two shiny eyes
Halfway down the head, a little to the left, draw 2 big round eyes with black dots.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 4: Cheeks and nose
Under the eyes draw a wide fat heart for the cheeks. Put a small triangle nose in the dip.
Step 5: Smile and buck teeth
From the nose draw a little smile out each side. Hang 2 big teeth from the middle.
Step 6: Long back
Start on the head under the ears. Draw a long back and curl round the bottom. Stop underneath.
Tip The back is long and stretched out, like a jumping bunny.
Step 7: Short front leg
Start under the cheek. Draw a short leg down to a round paw, then back. Stop under the body.
Tip Keep the leg short: fat at the top and thinner at the paw.
Step 8: Tummy and thigh
Draw a soft tummy from the front leg sloping down. Stop near the back. Add a big C thigh.
Tip The C starts on the back and ends on the tummy line.
Step 9: Long back foot
In the gap draw a long fat foot pointing down and back, with a round toe end.
Tip A bunny's back foot is very long. It pushes off the ground.
Step 10: Far legs
Draw 2 more legs peeking out: a paw in front of the front leg, a foot beside the back foot.
Step 11: Fluffy tail
On top of the bottom draw a round fluffy tail with a bumpy edge.
Step 12: Toes and ground
Draw 2 toe lines on each near paw, 1 on each far paw. Add a ground line under the toes.
Tip Only the back toes touch the ground.
Step 13: Cream and pink
Colour the cheek heart cream. Colour the nose and the inside of each ear pink.
Tip Keep the 2 teeth white.
Step 14: Colour it tan
Colour the bunny tan, around the cheeks, nose and ear middles. Leave the eyes and fluffy tail white.
